Best Life Disability Services believe that their experiences should give you the opportunity to build capacity by exploring and learning about the places you visit, as such you will receive a welcome pack at the start of your respite that includes a travel journal. Here you can record your adventures with instant images taken by your support worker to look back on.
During your weekend away you can participate with your fellow travelers in gathering information and collecting mementos of your trip with our Scavenger Hunt.

From April through to November, the lake turns to a darker steel grey colour.

The Cave Gardens feature a beautiful sinkhole, several lookouts and a suspended viewing platform at the top. It is believed that this sinkhole was the original water source for the early settlers in this area.

The Umpherston Sinkhole (or the Sunken Garden) is one of the most spectacular gardens located in the Mount Gambier region.
Umpherston sinkhole was once a typical limestone cave that formed by the corrosion of limestone rocks by seawater waves and the sinkhole was naturally created when the chamber’s roof collapsed.
Enjoy some shopping and light refreshments at the Umpherston kiosk and souvenirs shop.
