Best Life Experiences allows you to explore Victor Harbor with accessible accommodation and carers who will support your needs. Please note that, as per the NDIS respite guidelines, accommodation, activities, meals, and transportation are not included in this package.

Best Life Disability Services believes that your experiences should give you the opportunity to build capacity by exploring and learning about the places you visit. As such, you will receive a welcome pack at the start of your respite that includes a travel journal. Here, you can record your adventures with instant images taken by your support worker to look back on.

During your weekend away, you can participate with your fellow traveller's in gathering information and collecting mementos of your trip with our Scavenger Hunt.

Accommodation

Staying at The McCracken Country Club, you will have the opportunity to build friendship and community with others in beautiful 4-bedroom apartments. All meals are included in your experience, with the opportunity to build skills in the fully equipped kitchen.

The Cockle Train

Explore the beautiful vista as you travel along the oldest steel railed railway in Australia dating back to 1854 when it was constructed to provide a link between the River Murray and the ocean wharfs at Pt Elliot and later at Victor Harbor.

Granite Island

Take the Horse Drawn Tram to Granite Island, enjoying the history onboard and collecting items along the way for your personalized travel journal. Morning tea provided at the Granite Island Cafe.

South Australian Whale Centre

Learn more about Sea Shephard and the efforts they are going to conserve and protect oceanic ecosystems and species. Interact with the exhibits and explore the world of the Southern Right Whales. Learn more about the local wildlife, including dolphins, whale and the Long- Nosed Fur-Seal.

Goolwa Animal Farm

Enjoy meeting the animals on this interactive farm experience at Goolwa Animal Farm. The farm hosts a large variety of animals including Kangaroos, emus, alpacas, turtles, snakes, a donkey, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, goats, cockatoos, galahs and doves. There are snake holding demonstrations and trailer rides around the farm.
